Recently, at the 2025 (27th) China International Mining Congress, the Ministry of Natural Resources released 30 typical cases of ecological restoration in mining areas. The case Collaborative Promotion of Whole-Process Green Governance through "Five Modernizations", submitted by Wengfu Phosphate Mine under China GPC, was successfully selected, making it the only project from Guizhou Province on the list.
Previously, Weng'an Daxin Beidoushan Phosphate Mine, also affiliated with China GPC, was included in the Latest National List of Green Mines, becoming the only phosphate mine in the province to receive this recognition. These two honors vividly confirm the Group’s long-term commitment to the principles of the "Two Mountains" theory and its comprehensive efforts in developing green mines.
China GPC has always regarded green mine construction as a core part of its corporate development strategy. It has systematically implemented green management across the entire industrial chain — from mining and processing to utilization and restoration — driving the transformation of mines from a "resource-consuming model" to an "environment-friendly model". In doing so, it has forged a high-quality development path that coordinates resource development and ecological protection.
Yingping Mine
Ecological restoration efforts at Yingping Mine of Wengfu Phosphate Mine began as early as 2006. Through a combination of systematic engineering management and artificial revegetation, the mining area has gradually restored vegetation coverage. Native adaptable plants such as Coriaria sinica and black locust have been widely introduced, enhancing the stability and self-healing capacity of the ecosystem.
Notably, Yingping Mining Area has innovatively integrated "ecology + industry" by building a prickly pear poverty alleviation pilot base, which has involved 150 land-expropriated rural households in planting, management and harvesting, achieving a win-win outcome of ecological restoration and increased rural incomes. To date, the mining area has completed ecological restoration covering 2,067 mu, and the former traces of mining have been covered by lush greenery.
Chuanyan Cave Mine
Since its establishment in 2011, Chuanyan Cave Mine has adhered to the principle of "mining, protection and restoration carried out simultaneously". Waste rock is recycled for ecological restoration, effectively reducing the land occupation of the mine. From 2016 to 2024, seven phases of ecological management projects were completed, with a cumulative restored area of 1,380 mu. The ecological environment of the mining area has been significantly improved, presenting a brand-new look as a green mine.
Mofang Mine
Today’s Wengfu Phosphate Mine boasts greener mountains and more beautiful scenery, and has become a model where ecological and economic values are unified. The practices of Wengfu Phosphate Mine epitomize China GPC’s green mine development.
In recent years, China GPC has vigorously promoted green mining, energy conservation, emission reduction and resource recycling across all its mining areas, implementing a number of projects for geological environmental management and land reclamation. Empowered by technology and management innovation, the Group has continuously improved the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and reduced the ecological impact of development, truly realizing the goal of "developing a mine, greening an area, benefiting a region".
