Recently, Wengfu Chemical of GPC has achieved a major breakthrough with the successful trial of its independently developed novel coating oil for single superphosphate (SSP).

As a core variety of traditional phosphate fertilizers, SSP features efficient utilization of medium and low-grade phosphate ore. It has long played a vital role in safeguarding food security and improving soil quality. Nevertheless, its inherent tendency toward moisture absorption and caking has remained a persistent bottleneck troubling the entire industry for years.
This pervasive industry problem not only causes the loss of effective ingredients and reduced fertilizer efficiency, but also drives up storage and transportation costs while undermining farmers’ application experience. Although previous efforts including optimizing drying processes and upgrading packaging materials have alleviated the issue to a certain extent, they failed to resolve the fundamental technical barrier, greatly restricting the value potential and market competitiveness of the SSP industry.
Targeting this long-standing industry pain point, the R&D team of Wengfu Chemical conducted in-depth analysis of the core causes behind SSP moisture absorption and caking. The team successfully developed an innovative technical system featuring precision barrier and long-term protection. The technology forms a dense, uniform and flexible protective film on the surface of SSP particles. Boasting excellent hydrophobic performance, the film effectively isolates moisture penetration in the air, blocks the contact between SSP particles and water molecules, and resists external interferences such as temperature fluctuations and mechanical friction, ensuring stable and long-lasting protection effects.
