CRRC All-Electric Heavy Trucks Deployed at Wengfu Phosphate Mine of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group for On-Site Testing
On June 4, the CRRC SCT-105E all-electric wide-body heavy truck entered the Chuanyan Cave Mine of Wengfu Phosphate Mine to launch on-site working condition testing. This marks a key step toward electrification of mining transport equipment at this large-scale open-pit phosphate mine in China, laying a solid foundation for the green and low-carbon transformation of open-pit mines.
The SCT-105E model deployed this time is custom-developed by Guangzhou Railway Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. It has a rated load of 70 tons, equipped with a 765 kWh high-capacity lithium iron phosphate battery and an 800 kW dual-motor powertrain, with a maximum climbing capacity of over 30%. It is precisely matched to the complex mining operating environment featuring continuous long slopes, gravel unpaved roads, and a height difference of 324 meters.
Compared with traditional fuel-powered wide-body trucks, this model uses downhill energy recovery technology to convert potential energy into electricity for reverse charging, eliminating exhaust and noise pollution at the source. This aligns with China’s “dual carbon” goals and mandatory requirements for green mine construction.
The vehicle has now entered the trial operation phase. Upon completion of the test, all parties will compile full-cycle measured data and issue a test report. Through comprehensive analysis and evaluation, a formal conclusion will be formed for the all-electric wide-body heavy truck mining condition test, providing authentic and reliable data support for the subsequent large-scale application of electric mining transport equipment in mining scenarios.
