Recently, Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group held an exchange symposium with Professor Song Chunshan, Member of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Professor Song Chunshan stated that after on-site visits to the "1468" Project, coal chemical industry facilities and the State Key Laboratory for Green and Efficient Development & Utilization of Phosphate Ore and its Associated Resources, he was deeply impressed by the Group’s practical achievements in focusing on four major industrial chains and advancing green circular development.

He pointed out that this visit aims to explore cooperation potential between the two sides in carbon neutrality, sulfur resource utilization and other fields. By establishing a stable communication mechanism, The Chinese University of Hong Kong will leverage its solid research foundation and cutting-edge achievements in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) as well as efficient fossil energy utilization technologies to deepen cooperation in scientific research, technical exchanges and talent training, and support the high-quality development of the Group.

Upholding the guidance of the dual-carbon goals, Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group thoroughly implements the provincial strategy of fully exploiting high-quality mineral resources, gives full play to its comparative advantages, accelerates all-round green transformation, and steadily boosts the innovation value, economic value and green value of its development.

Faced with the new national requirements for the dual-carbon strategy during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the Group will further scale up R&D and application efforts in carbon neutrality, carbon footprint tracking and green energy. It hopes to strengthen industry-university-research cooperation and talent exchanges with Professor Song Chunshan and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, so as to jointly translate Guizhou’s ecological advantages into economic strengths.
