Successful Industrial Test of New Energy Mining Trucks：Breakthrough in Green and Intelligent Transformation of Wengfu Phosphate Mine
In June this year, industrial tests of lithium battery trackless mining trucks (new energy mining trucks) were launched at the Chuanyandong Underground Mine of Wengfu Phosphate Mine. After more than two months of rigorous and full-scenario field operation tests, the trials achieved complete success.
As a key initiative of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group (GPC) to implement the national dual-carbon strategy and advance the green, low-carbon and intelligent transformation of mines, the tests provide solid support for the application of electrified underground mining equipment and accelerate the transition of traditional mines toward zero-carbon mining.
Officially launched in June 2026 and running stably for two months, the industrial tests recorded a total ore and waste rock transportation volume of over 18,400 tons and a cumulative driving mileage of 3,974 kilometers, fully verifying the reliability and operational efficiency of the new energy mining trucks under complex underground mine working conditions. Field measurements demonstrate outstanding economic performance and energy-saving advantages: the equipment significantly cuts ore transportation costs, achieves a climbing speed of 22 km/h on 12° steep ramps under full load, and realizes kinetic energy feedback charging during downhill operation, greatly improving comprehensive energy utilization efficiency.
To strictly uphold the bottom line of underground operation safety, the project team completed dedicated safety tests for mining lithium batteries in advance, covering four extreme working conditions including short circuit, thermal runaway, needle piercing and extrusion, with all test results meeting industry safety technical standards. During the whole test period, multiple participating units established a full-chain guarantee mechanism, and strictly implemented standardized procedures including entry qualification verification, full-coverage equipment inspection, professional operator training and operation route simulation testing, ensuring the entire test process safe, stable and controllable.
Going forward, Wengfu Phosphate Mine will continue to adhere to the green development orientation, accelerate the transformation and application of electrification and intelligent technological achievements, empower smart mine construction through industrial upgrading, and consolidate the foundation for high-quality mine development.
