To address challenges in harmless phosphogypsum treatment, optimize production water balance, and realize energy conservation, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, the technological upgrading project for phosphogypsum harmless treatment and high-pH water comprehensive utilization at GPC’s Kailin Mineral & Fertilizer Plant was officially put into operation on August 17. The launch marks a major phased breakthrough in the company’s technological upgrading of phosphogypsum harmless treatment and water resource comprehensive utilization.

Previously, unstable water supply from the third washing process of phosphoric acid filters long hampered the stable operation of production units and frequently led to low pH values of phosphogypsum, compromising the compliance quality of harmless phosphogypsum treatment. To thoroughly resolve core production bottlenecks, the technical team of the Phosphoric Acid Operation Department of Kailin Mineral & Fertilizer Plant conducted in-depth research on on-site production practices, accurately identified process deficiencies, and took the lead in advancing the high-pH water comprehensive utilization upgrading project. The team targeted and optimized process procedures and upgraded the automatic control system.
During the project upgrading, professional technicians optimized the equipment control mode, realizing refined and stable control of all phosphogypsum indicators and consolidating the foundation for harmless phosphogypsum treatment from the production source.
Moving forward, Kailin Mineral & Fertilizer Plant will continue to advance process optimization and technological innovation. It will further fine-tune the process parameters of high-pH water utilization, stabilize unit operating conditions, and maximize the benefits of technological upgrading. Through refined production, green technological transformation and energy-saving management, the plant will empower the high-quality development of the enterprise.
