Recently, the technical team of China GPC PhosphoMei New Materials completed the repair project of the taxiway at Harbin Taiping International Airport in just 2 hours and 40 minutes using independently developed thin-layer repair materials. Thanks to the efficient construction and application of the new material, the airport runway was repaired without suspending normal operation.
At 2:00 a.m. on the day, after the last flight landed, the airport entered a short suspension period. The China GPC PhosphoMei New Materials immediately launched construction, with 1.4 tons of new repair materials and professional equipment deployed simultaneously. Construction workers first carried out precise milling on a 31.57-square-meter pavement section, with accuracy controlled at the millimeter level. "The repair must be finished before flight operations resume at five o’clock!" On-site staff kept a close eye on the countdown and directed the team to accelerate progress.

Overcoming unfavorable conditions such as low temperatures at night, the team executed every procedure from material mixing to paving with minute-level precision. The repair was finally completed ahead of schedule at 4:40 a.m., ensuring the normal takeoff and landing of the first flight.

The new repair material applied this time is only 2 centimeters thick, a 90% reduction compared with traditional processes, yet delivers outstanding performance. Monitoring data shows that the material maintained excellent properties even at 10℃ below the theoretical temperature: it could bear loads 30 minutes after initial setting, with a compressive strength of 50 MPa, exceeding industrial standards.

The technical director stated that the adaptive characteristics of the material have greatly improved construction efficiency and significantly reduced costs compared with traditional technologies, providing an optimized solution for airport pavement maintenance.

It is understood that traditional deep repair requires runway closure for more than 24 hours, while thin-layer repair technology drastically shortens the construction period. PhosphoMei New Materials said it will continue to optimize material performance and contribute more innovative achievements to the maintenance of transportation infrastructure.
