Recently, a container train fully loaded with smelting sulfuric acid successfully arrived at the dedicated railway station of Wengfu Chemical, a subsidiary of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group (GPC), marking the safe delivery of the Group’s first batch of containerized sulfuric acid. This achievement represents another milestone implementation of GPC’s dual-track strategy of targeted external procurement and internal circular supply supplementation at the Qiannan production base, opening up a vital new logistics channel for the sulfur resource supply chain.

Against the backdrop of severe volatility in the sulfur market, GPC prioritizes the stable supply of raw materials for phosphate fertilizer production. The launch of the new containerized sulfuric acid transportation channel serves as a key measure to implement the Group’s deployment of building a diversified sulfur resource guarantee system.

During the project implementation, confronted with tight qualification approval schedules and stringent railway rectification standards, Wengfu Chemical worked closely with functional departments of GPC. A special working team systematically sorted out and efficiently completed more than 20 safety evaluations and approval documents. Meanwhile, the company carried out comprehensive upgrading and renovation for the sulfuric acid unloading line, including trestle structure reinforcement, full anti-corrosion coating renewal, and precise adjustment of operational safety distances, ensuring fully reliable unloading facilities and zero-risk operating procedures.

The successful arrival of the first batch of containerized sulfuric acid verifies the practical operational performance of Wengfu Chemical’s newly added sulfuric acid unloading capacity and greatly diversifies the logistics modes for smelting sulfuric acid procurement. Leveraging the door-to-door flexible transportation advantages of tank containers, the Group effectively reduces logistics losses and transit costs, improves the economic efficiency of smelting sulfuric acid as an alternative raw material for phosphate fertilizer production, and further solidifies its capacity to guarantee phosphate fertilizer supply for national food security.
